• Check/top up gearbox oil
• Check/top up transfer box oil
• Check/top up front axle oil
• Check/top up swivel pin housing oil
• Check/top up rear axle oil
• Lubricate propeller shaft sliding joints
• Lubricate propeller shaft universal joints
• Lubricate handbrake mechanical linkage
• Visually check brake, fuel, clutch pipes/unions for chafing, leaks and corrosion
• Check exhaust system for leaks, security and damage
• Check for fluid leaks from power, manual steering and suspension systems, hydraulic pipes and unions for chafing and corrosion
• Check/tighten steering unit and steering rod ball joint fixings, check condition of ball joints and dust covers
• Check air harness pipes for security and damage
• Check air springs for security and damage
• Check shock absorbers/height sensors and harness assembly for leakage and damage
• Check tightness of propeller shaft coupling bolts
• Ensure front and rear axle breathers are free from obstruction
• Check/tighten front and rear axle suspension link fixings, check condition of mounting rubbers
• Check for oil leaks from engine and transmission
• Clean fuel sedimentor (200 TDi)
• Drain flywheel housing if drain plug is fitted for wading (refit)
• Check/tighten fuel tank fixings
• Check security of towing bracket
• Check chassis frame and brackets for damage
• Check condition of engine mounting rubbers
• Check road wheel speed sensor electrical harness for damage (ABS only)
• Adjust handbrake if required
• Carry out road roller test
• Endorse service record and report any unusual features of vehicle condition and additional work required

• Check condition and security of seats and seatbelts, seatbelt mountings, seatbelt buckles and operation of inertia seatbelts
• Check operation of electrical, memory, heated and mechanical seats (where applicable)
• Check operation of foot brake and clutch
• Check operation of all lamps, horns, warning indicators
• Check operation of front/rear wipers and washers and condition of wiper blades
• Check security and operation of handbrake

Main Service (Vehicle Exterior)

• Remove road wheels
• Inspect brake pads for wear, calipers for leaks and discs for condition
• Refit road wheels to original hub position

• Check crankcase breathing system for leaks, hoses for security and condition
• Check condition of driving belts (adjust if required)
• Check throttle and automatic transmission cable operation
• Check/top up automatic transmission fluid
• Check/top up cooling system
• Check/top up fluid in power steering reservoir
• Check/top up clutch fluid reservoirs
• Check/top up brake fluid reservoirs
• Check/top up windscreen and rear washer reservoir
• Lubricate accelerator control linkages and pedal pivot
• Check/adjust ignition timing
• Check/adjust engine idle speed (200 TDi)
• Check/adjust steering box
• Remove battery connections - clean, grease and refit
